Galvanized Round Steel Pipe for Industrial Fluid System

Shunchen is a comprehensive steel enterprise integrating hot-dip galvanizing, deep steel processing, and import-export trade. The company offers a ready stock of galvanized round steel pipes for industrial fluid systems. These products—manufactured by applying a hot-dip galvanized coating to high-quality round steel pipes via the company’s own production lines—are specifically engineered to prevent corrosion and perforation in pipelines used for transporting water, oil, gas, and other fluids, particularly in environments characterized by high humidity, chloride content, or exposure to acids and alkalis.

Manufactured through degreasing, pickling, fluxing, and molten zinc immersion. Designed for reliable transport of water, oil, and gas, significantly delaying corrosion and extending service life.

    Φ21.3 - Φ114 Outer Diameter (mm)
    1.8 - 8mm Wall Thickness
    350-700 g/㎡ Customizable Zinc
    ISO 9001 Certified Quality

Galvanized round steel pipe for industrial fluid systems are manufactured by taking a round steel pipe as the base material, subjecting it to degreasing, pickling, and fluxing, and then immersing it in molten zinc (hot-dip galvanizing). These pipes are designed for the transport of fluid media such as water, oil, and gas. Compared to bare steel pipes, the galvanized coating isolates the steel from the surrounding air and media, significantly delaying corrosion. They are widely used in piping systems for industrial cooling water, compressed air, fire protection, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). The pipes can be cut to specific lengths, threaded, and fitted with end caps as required, allowing for immediate installation upon arrival while meeting the pressure-bearing and anti-corrosion standards of fluid systems.

    Core Features

    01

Corrosion Resistance and Long Service Life

Fluid-carrying pipes are constantly exposed to water and humid air. Standard steel pipes can corrode, develop holes, and leak within just two to three years—leading to costly downtime and replacement expenses. Galvanized round steel pipes for industrial fluid systems feature a uniform zinc coating both inside and out. In humid environments, the zinc acts as a sacrificial anode, protecting the underlying steel. This significantly extends the service life, reduces the need for system downtime and pipe replacement, and lowers long-term maintenance costs.

    02

Reliable Pressure Resistance and Stable Transport

Fluid systems often experience pressure fluctuations; pipes with thin walls or inferior base materials are prone to bulging or leaking. Our pipes utilize high-quality base steel, with wall thickness and diameter strictly adhering to industry standards. Furthermore, each pipe undergoes hydrostatic testing after galvanizing. This ensures stable pressure resistance and secure transport of water, oil, or gas, making them ideal for long-term, pressurized operation.

    03

Customizable Zinc Coating and Comprehensive Specifications

Many galvanized pipes on the market have inconsistent coating thicknesses, which may prove inadequate in highly corrosive environments—such as coastal areas or chemical plants. We operate our own galvanizing lines, offering both air-wipe (continuous) and rack (batch) galvanizing processes. The zinc coating thickness can be customized, and standard diameters are kept in stock year-round. This allows you to select the optimal coating for your specific operating conditions, ensuring cost-efficiency and a hassle-free procurement process.

    04

    Smooth Surface for Easy Installation

Poor-quality galvanizing—characterized by surface blistering or excessive zinc drips—makes on-site threading and pipe connection difficult and labor-intensive. Through multiple passivation and drying stages, followed by cooling and the removal of any zinc drips, the surface is rendered smooth and even. This ensures seamless threading, welding, and the use of pipe fittings, leading to high on-site installation efficiency and eliminating the need for rework.

    Production Process

    ① Base Pipe Inspection

Upon arrival, base pipes undergo checks for material composition, wall thickness, and diameter. Non-conforming pipes are returned, ensuring quality control at the source and preventing substandard materials from entering the production line.

    ② Pickling and Rust Removal

Base pipes are immersed in an acid bath to remove surface scale and rust, exposing a clean substrate to ensure strong adhesion of the zinc coating.

    ③ Cleaning and Fluxing

After pickling, the pipes are rinsed with water and then immersed in a flux solution. This further activates the surface and prevents any residual acid from compromising the quality of the zinc coating.

    ④ Hot-Dip Galvanizing

The Galvanized Round Steel Pipe for Industrial Fluid System is submerged in molten zinc. The temperature of the zinc bath and the immersion duration are strictly controlled to ensure a uniform zinc coating with consistent thickness.

    ⑤ Multiple Passivation

Following galvanization, the pipes undergo a passivation process. This creates a protective film on the zinc surface, isolating it from the air and reducing the likelihood of white rust (alkali corrosion) and oxidation.

    ⑥ Drying and Packaging

For galvanized round steel pipes for industrial fluid systems, the pipes are dried, individually inspected for surface quality, and cleared of any zinc drips. They are then bundled according to specifications, secured with wooden dunnage, and loaded for shipment.

    FAQ

    1. Is this "blow-galvanized" (in-line) or "rack-galvanized" (batch-dipped)?

Our standard stock primarily consists of blow-galvanized pipes (approx. 20 microns). Rack-galvanized pipes offer a thicker zinc coating (up to 350–700 g/m²) and are recommended for coastal or highly corrosive environments; we can supply both types.

    2. Will galvanized pipes rust?

While galvanizing significantly delays corrosion, rust may still occur if the pipes are submerged in water for long periods or if the zinc coating is scratched. To mitigate this, our pipes undergo multiple passivation and drying stages to reduce "white rust" (alkali residue). We recommend covering them with a tarp to protect against moisture.

    3. What lengths are available? Can they be cut to specific sizes?

Our standard length is 6 meters. We offer custom cutting, threading, and the addition of pipe caps—simply specify the required length and quantity when placing your order.

    4. What is the material?

Galvanized round steel pipes for industrial fluid systems are typically made from Q195–Q235B steel. We strictly verify the base pipe material through our procurement and finance departments to ensure full traceability; a material certificate is provided with every delivery.

    5. Can hydrostatic testing be performed?

Yes, all finished pipes undergo hydrostatic testing before leaving the factory. Test records and third-party inspection reports are available upon request.

    6. Can I purchase in small quantities?

Yes, we accept both large and small orders. We maintain stock of standard diameters, so there is no need for you to carry excess inventory.

    7. How is the welding performance?

The pipes feature a smooth surface and a uniform zinc coating. They are ready for direct use with fittings or for welding; both threading and welding processes can be performed seamlessly.
